The federation's chairperson in Gauteng, Amos Monyela, says the finance minister's personal views on the matter are problematic.

The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) wants President Cyril Ramaphosa to deal with Finance Minister Tito Mboweni for his stance on e-tolls.

The union federation says motorists shouldn't be expected to pay for using the province's highways.

Mboweni engaged on a Twitter war with Gauteng Premier David Makhura at the weekend over the scrapping of the e-tolls.

Clement Manyathela speaks to Cosatu chairperson in Gauteng, Amos Monyela, on the action the federation wants to be taken against Mboweni.

Tito Mboweni is pronouncing his personal views against the engagements in government and that is a problem.
