[LISTEN] Family records terrifying moment warring gangs had shootout on stoep

A mother from Hanover Park has spoken of her terror after warring gangs battled it out with guns just feet from her front door.

'Carol' and her family recorded the shoot out as it happened - take a listen:

'Carol' spoke to Cape Talk's John Maytham about the daily shootings that take place in her neighbourhood.

I have fear in me all the time.

Carol says while she doesn't know what the cause of the shooting was, she's confident two local gangs were involved.

It was the Americans that came to this court and then the Ghetto's from where I live.
