Struggle stalwart Zak Yacoob admits to saying that President Jacob Zuma is a 'dishonest and disrespectful' person and that there is no criminal case against Pravin Gordhan.
Speaking to 702/Capetalk's Stephen Grootes, Yacoob says maybe he should have been more courteous towards the President and shouldn't have said the things he said about him.
But I still believe that what I said was true. I don't think he himself if asked he would say that he is honest and he is respectful of everybody...— Justice Zak Yacoob, former justice of the Constitutional Court
Yacoob says if he had said the President is an honest man, the President would been the first one to laugh because he knows the truth.
Zuma is not the kind of President we want, it is quiet clear that he is manipulating the country, says Yacoob.
I dare anyone in the country to say that he is an honest man, nobody would say it— Justice Zak Yacoob, former justice of the Constitutional Court
When asked about his comments on Pravin Gordhan, Yacoob said the President certainly did not want Gordhan as Finance Minister and wants him gone.
The trouble now is that he wants Pravin Gordhan to resign and go away so that he can do whatever he wants to do.— Justice Zak Yacoob, former justice of the Constitutional Court
