Family of four found dead in suspected murder-suicide
A woman and three children have died in what is suspected to be a murder-suicide at Sallies Village in Brakpan.
A neighbour who rushed to the scene after the family of four were shot dead on Wednesday night has spoken to media and recounted how he was alerted by the screams of the owner of the house who was calling out for help.
Eyewitness News reporter Bonga Dlulane has more on the story.
Jan Joubert, who lives just three houses away from where the murders happened, says he heard someone scream 'help'. He rushed out and this guy was crying hysterically, saying: 'Please help me, my family is inside and I think they are dead.'Bonga Dlulane, Reporter - EWN
Him and another guy went in and it was hard to go inside because the house was also on fire. They tried to put out the fire and that is when he says he saw the four bodies lying there and the gun was next to the wife.Bonga Dlulane, Reporter - EWN
Police say they have opened an inquest because the husband told them that he suspects the wife shot his children.Bonga Dlulane, Reporter - EWN
