He says it is up to other countries to decide whether they want tourists from South Africa in large numbers.

South Africa has, therefore, offered visa-free status to 75 of the 193 countries under the United Nations.

We believe we need to increase the number if we wish to increase tourism and bring an end to unemployment and poverty in the country.

Aaron Motsoaledi, Minister - Department of Home Affairs

He says after evaluating countries, these seven have been added to the list of visa-free countries and more will be added in the future.

It is really easy to strengthen tourism when people don't have to apply for visas.
