The issue of fake job ads is becoming more common, especially amid South Africa's unemployment crisis.

Africa Check has compiled a list of red flags for job seekers to look out for when seeking employment.

Researchers Caley Clifford and Naphtali Khumalo joined Azania Mosaka in studio.

Here is what you should be cautious of:

1. If the link does not take you to the company's official website or o a reputable recruitment agency.

  1. If the advert contains any grammar or spelling errors

  2. When you are asked to pay money for an interview

  3. If the email address and contact details not linked to the actual company

  4. If you are asked to travel to a location that is not the company's office
