Now the public will have the opportunity to pay their last respects at a memorial service in Johannesburg on Friday.

The late singer's manager and family spokesperson, Roddy Quin says the Cleggs are thankful to the people of South Africa and the media for respecting their request for privacy to mourn.

Now they have responded to pleas from a country that claims the beloved singer as its own.
