The long-awaited National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill draft has been released.

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize unveiled the bill on Thursday in Pretoria.

The bill aims to contain the cost of comprehensive public health care by prioritising primary and preventative services.

Clement Manyathela speaks to Minister of Health spokesperson Dr Lwazi Manzi about who will be covered by the NHI.

Every single South African will be covered, also permanent residents as well as inmates.
