Ramaphosa's application to suspend enforcement of PP remedial action successful
An application to suspend the enforcement of Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane's remedial action related to President Cyril Ramaphosa's CR17 election campaign has been grated by the Pretoria High Court on Monday.
The Public Protector didn't oppose this application.
Last month Mkhwebane released her report that found that Ramphosa misled Parliament when he claimed R500,000 deposit into a linked account was for his son instead of his election campaign.
Clement Manyathela on the Xolani Gwala Show chats to EWN reporter Barry Bateman.
This is an order that was agreed upon by both parties, they had agreed to a draft order that was simply read into the record. This suspends the enforcement of that remedial action which relates to the direction to the Speaker of the National Assembly as well as the national director of public prosecutions to take steps against President Cyril Ramaphosa.Barry Bateman, Reporter - EWN
