Nomgcobo Jiba's application to cross-examine Agrizzi postponed
Former deputy prosecutions boss Nomgcobo Jiba’s application to cross-examine Angelo Agrizzi at the state capture commission has been postponed.
Jiba wanted to cross-examine Agrizzi in order to clear her name after the former Bosasa chief operating officer testified that the advocate and her former colleague Lawrence Mrwebi received bribes to help quash a criminal investigation into the company.
Clement Manyathela speaks to Eyewitness News reporter Nthakoana Ngatane on the reasons given for the postponement.
According to Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, this will happen at ta later stage and the reason is the evidence that was led by Agrizzi is actually hearsay.Nthakoana Ngatane, Reporter - Eyewitness News
Agrizzi does not have first-hand knowledge that the money actually ended up with Jiba and Mrwebi. However, the deputy chief justice is saying until Mti has come before the commission and perhaps confirmed or denied what Agrizzi says, only then the commission can say whether or not Jiba can cross-examine Agrizzi.Nthakoana Ngatane, Reporter - Eyewitness News
