Ecological farmer Paul Barker urges locals to get a second opinion if anyone says a tree is infested.

Criminals are now using the highly invasive beetle species polyphagous to scam people.

The shot-hole borer beetle is threatening trees in the Western Cape and some unscrupulous individuals are informing local residents that their trees have been infested and advising them to cut the trees at a price.

Pippa Hudson speaks to Long Valley Permaculture Farm ecological farmer Paul Barker on what to do when the scammers approach your house.

Never believe one person. Always find a second quote and a second person.
