'Not impossible' wife killer Rob Packham would reoffend if released - prosecutor
Her face became instantly recognizable to South Africans following the decision to live stream the 2017 murder trial of convicted killer Henri van Breda.
And prosecutor Susan Galloway was again thrust into the media glare when she lead the state's case against Constantia businessman Rob Packham who earlier this year was found guilty of murdering his wife Jill.
In her first interview since that trial, Galloway sat down with Melanie Rice to talk about why these two cases, in particular, captured the interest of South Africans.
I think because the families come across on social media as very happy and 'normal' and then to have gruesome events like these occur within a normal family, I think that might be what triggered people's interest.Susan Galloway, State Prosecutor
Earlier this month, Rob Packham was granted leave to appeal his 22-year sentence for murder directly to the Supreme Court of Appeal.
His application to appeal his conviction in the high court was denied after he was sentenced in June.
Galloway says she believes that if released, Packham has it in him to re-offend.
I'm not a psychologist, but my personal opinion is that it's not impossible.Susan Galloway, State Prosecutor
