The South African National Circus School (SAN Circus) will have to vacate their premises in Observatory, after their lease was terminated before it could end.
As part of the development of Hartleyvale by The City of Cape Town and plans to rationalise municipal facilities, the circus school has until the end of the month to vacate the property.
We spoke to Dimitri Slaverse, founder of the South African National Circus School who said he is extremely disappointed because the circus is a part of the community.
In light of what we have done to upgrade the place, we thought we would be given a chance to have an alternative or be visited by an official to explain to us what the situation is.— Dimitri Slaverse
According to Slaverse, the Circus School is being in operation at Observatory for the past nine years.
