A closer look at new NPA boss

Stephen Grootes attended a media briefing yesterday about plans for the NPA and met the new head Advocate Shaun Abrahams. The new National Director of Public Prosecutions at the National Prosecuting Authority advocate Shaun Abrahams certainly endeared himself to Stephen Grootes in the way he answered questions at the briefing - Stephen gave him an inspired 8 out of 10 for his first interview.

Stephen says that Abrahams inspired a sense of confidence in the organisation and with the media - his willingness to engage means that there may be more information and communication coming from the organisation to the media.

Said Abrahams when asked if he would protect President Jacob Zuma:

I have not been appointed to protect anyone. I'm not going to use my position to protect anyone.
