TedX conference comes to Bellville

The first TEDxBellville event will take place this Saturday (11 July) titled "Pioneering Possibility".

A team of volunteers from different backgrounds have come together to independently organise the conference.

While there have been a number of other TedX events in Cape Town in the past, this will be the first one to take place “behind the Boerewors Gordyn”, according to organiser Wouter Grove.

There is an interesting mix of speakers who will be addressing the audience; and the curator of TedX Bellville Wouter Grove tells us more about them.

We decided to obtain a TEDx licence – which is free – as a group of volunteers. It took off from there into a strong speaker line up. There are 16 different people and performances.

There are still a few tickets available, priced at R200 each.

The venue:

Life Science Auditorium
University of the Western Cape
Cape Town, 7560
South Africa
