Meet Carson Smuts, Cape-born architect and designer innovating across the globe

The first ever TEDx event in the Northern Suburbs took place at University of the Western Cape.

The event, showcasing diversity of Bellville’s pioneers and visionaries who are creating positive change, is where we came across Carson Smuts.

Smuts was one of the speakers at the conference and is working as a Research Scientist at MIT’s MediaLab, Boston, an Architectural Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, New York and a Self-Employed Designer at StudioNU.net /StudioSmuts.com.

He tells us more about his journey to innovate.
