Al Bashir: What's the story with Govt's appeal?

Government has lodged legal papers in its bid to appeal against the decision by the High Court in Pretoria – that found it illegal to allow Sudanese leader Omar al-Bashir to leave the country. This case has huge implications after the High Court found government had disobeyed a court order.

One of the big claims made by critics of judges in this case has been that the court did not take into account the obligations that our country has to foreign heads of state.
