Is Generations losing the plot?

It has been reported that several of the cast members of the soapie Generations: the Legacy are now being axed – after the show seemed to lose its ratings (5 471 000) lead to the SABC 1 tele-novella _Uzalo (_which sits at 5 563 000 viewers). Generations enjoyed being the most-watched show in SA for 15 years!

Sowetan Entertainment Editor, Lesley Mofokeng speaks to Stephen Grootes about why this move to axe cast members is a cause for concern.

Generations was this big beast that no one could take over, it's demise was a silver lining that gave rise to a whole new dramas that have sprung up. At the end of the day, the winner is the viewer because now you have so much choice.
