Family Matters: Claremont School of Rock

The first ever School of Rock in Africa opened at Claremont, Cape Town a few weeks ago. The school offers accessible music education and fun to a generation of music loving children who will realise the value of music.

CapeTalk's Pippa Hudson spoke to the co-founders of the Claremont School of Rock Leigh Spaun, with her brother Keith Taueber:

It is an American music school franchise. We specialise in after school music education, offering kids an opportunity to take music to the next level and actually getting to the performance side of it. We offer them stage performance opportunities throughout the year.

Leigh Spaun

According to Spaun, there are currently 164 schools operating globally most of them situated in the US.
