Western Cape government to reduce Red Tape for event’s organisers

The Western Cape Red Tape Reduction Unit launched the first phase of its Biz Challenge in June, which is aimed at removing administrative delays and obstacles to make it easier to do business in the province.

Proposals were received suggesting a dedicated helpline dealing with event permit queries and an electronic application system.

The best thing is to talk to the people who interact with it so we divided the program of specific focus areas. This Biz Challenge was around events, we proud ourselves on a region that has amazing events but when you apply to do an event there’s a lot of paper work and Red Tape….
