Police Minister's report was basically what we heard before - EWN

Police Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko presented his Nkandla report to a special parliamentary committee sitting in KwaZulu-Natal today.

According to his report, more than R50 million was spent on security features. However, this figure excluded the R20 million spent on consultant fees.

Nhleko says there's no evidence to support the Public Protector's findings that the Nkandla project costs R246 million.

Eye witness News, Rahima Essop report from Kwazulu Natal:

When he presented his report between 9 am and eleven 11 am it was basically what we heard on the 28th of May

Rahima Essop - EWN

He had to look at the 21 houses that were built just outside the Nkadla homestead. It is not quite clear who authorised the building of those 21 houses that came at a price of R135 million

Rahima Essop - EWN

According to Essop, the MP’s will be given two hours to tour Preseident Zuma’s homestead in Nkandla tomorrow, an opportunity to assess the situation for themselves
