The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the South African Reserve Bank will announce on Thursday whether or not it will hike interest rates.
Economists are divided as to what the MPC will decide, especially since June’s inflation rate came in at 4.7%, which was below expectations.
The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Investec Chief Economist Annabel Bishop.
She believes there are many good reasons why the MPC should not hike interest rates.
