Tech Blogger and Swift Consulting CEO, Liron Segev speaks to John about how City Power's Load Limiting drive works and how to protect your electronics against possible outages.
Segev explains that this new system, _powered _by City Power, is able to effectively limit the amount of power a household can consume at a touch of a button. Smart Meters were installed in around 92 000 households which is how City Power effectively communicates imminent Load Limiting and appeals for users to reduce their load (to a maximum of 21 Amps).
Segev also suggests that consumers should invest in surge protection for their electronics, to prevent potential damage to the electronics.
We have created a visual guide of how Load Limiting works here.
