John Robbie has laid a charge at the Sandton Police Station against posters advertising illegal abortions and penis enlargements.
John raised the issue of posters around town advertising illegal abortions and penis enlargements with a police spokesperson, who advised John to lay a charge. John did just that, he went to the Sandton Police Station to open a case.
He says that at first the Constable who was assisting him was not convinced but he eventually convinced her. She then said that this could be a Gender-based crime against women in South Africa. He then went through the elaborate procedure of opening a case. the Constable then said that the case will be looked at by a special unit and they will give John feedback, as well as a case number soon.
