Lili's comments are dangerous and reckless - Social Justice Coalition

It has been confirmed that Andile Lili was arrested last night following the comments he made recently, encouraging residents in poor areas to violently kill the criminals.

Lilie said, “The only thing we can do to liberate ourselves, is to kill immediately. If we find a criminal right handed, we must kill them because by doing so we are liberating ourselves from criminals”.

CapeTalk’s John Maytham spoke to Axolile Notywala,Researcher at Social Justice Coalition (SJC) about Lili’s remarks:

According to Notywala, Lili’s comments are reckless and dangerous, in a way creating a lawless society.

He further said that as a leader Lili should have encouraged the community to hold hands together and put pressure on the Minister of police to make sure that issues of crime are dealt with.
