No instruction on how much money President Zuma must pay back

Parliament’s Nkandla ad hoc committee last week called for Madonsela to be questioned about her report into the R246-million upgrades to President Jacob Zuma’s rural KwaZulu-Natal homestead.

Madonsela has told a media briefing that she stands by her conclusion that Zuma should pay back some of the money spent on non-security related features, like the swimming pool, visitor’s centre, cattle kraal, chicken run and amphitheater at his Nkandla residence. At a press conference held at her offices today, Madonsela spoke about about the "misinformation" around her report, such as the fact that she never asked for Police minister to review:

I am deeply saddened to have to use media to communicate with you (South Africa) instead of Parliament. I have wondered... what would have Nelson Mandela made of these bizarre events?
