Phuti Mahanyele , on sacrifice and being an aspiring entrepreneur

Phuti Mahanyele recently stepped down as CEO of Shanduka Group after 10 years of working with the investment company. Speaking to 702's Azania Mosaka, she shared insight into her business influences and stepping out as an entrepreneur.

Mahanyele says she was lucky enough to be surrounded by the right people. In fact, she says the most important lessons came from her father, Mohale Mahanyele, one of the founders of National Sorghum Breweries ltd.

When I see women who have been able to do well in both marriage and careers, I take off my hat to them but for me it wasn’t that way...

Having overcome numerous challenges in her career pursuits, from suffering a stroke and leaving her marriage, the 43-year old is now in the process of launching her own investment firm – Sigma investment.
