DRAADSITTER, a tiny new device, wirelessly monitors your fence to keep you safe

Ernst Pretorius, MD of Praesidium Eletrotegniek, has invented and patented a unique device, fondly known as the DRAADSITTER (Afrikaans for fence sitter).

No bigger than the size of your hand, DRAADSITTER is designed to wirelessly monitor a fence and to detect and report where and when an intrusion has taken place, a fence has been cut or an attempt has been made to breach a perimeter of the fence.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Pretorius.

The device doesn’t depend on Eskom as the battery lasts for two years.

It’s a very cost effective way of protecting your perimeter. You can cover vast distances with this system.
