Lead SA ChangeMakers 2015 to be LIVE STREAMED

In celebration of their 5th birthday, LeadSA is hosting the inaugural #ChangeMakers conference on Saturday, 15 August at the University of Johannesburg.

The conference will allow like-minded people who are already doing great things in their respective spaces, to network, share stories and inspire South Africans that each and every person has the potential to be a ChangeMaker.

The conference starts at 9am and while over 1000 delegates are expected at UJ, everyone is invited to connect - to add their voice to this Conversation for Change - by following the video feed, photo gallery and live tweets.

Included on the list of speakers is Chart-topping SAMA musician Danny K, who is also the Co-founder of the Shout Foundation. SHOUT is a Trust founded by Danny K and Kabelo Mabalane, after the senseless loss of Lucky Dube, to help give the average South African a voice in the fight against crime

Sisanda Msekele who is a PhD student at Wits University will join Redi Thlabi for a one on one chat on the #Changemakers stage. When Sisanda was 9-years-old she had a serious allergic reaction to medication which affected her cornea resulting in blindness. She recently graduated with her Masters degree. Sisanda’s story is a triumph over adversity and an inspiration to all that every obstacle can be overcome with passion and determination.

Founder of Gift of the Givers Imtiaz Sooliman and Generation Earth Founder, Ella Bella are on the list of #ChangeMakers whose insights should inspire and motivate delegates.

The event is the first of it's kind in South Africa and after tickets sold out last month Lead SA decided to live-stream the event so that South Africans who could not attend would still be able to enjoy the conference.
