Cold Gold in Stellenbosch is an artisan producer of ice creams, sorbets and other frozen fantasies.

Full cream, organic, jersey milk, fat free, paleo diet, banting, vegan... you name it; they can create it.

In Cold Gold's treasure freezer you'll find 500 flavours of custom ice creams and sorbets that taste like "the real thing".

Cold Gold have been nominated for this year's Small Business Awards with CapeTalk and Sage One for their ability to turn any ice cream dream into a reality, particularly for customers with special dietary requirements.

Janine van Zyl, owner of Cold Gold, believes that everybody should be able to have their dream dessert and eat it.

I decided to start my own business in 2011 because people don't know real ice cream. I brought an ice cream machine and started making real ice cream from my flat. We're all about going the extra mile. I can make any flavour if it's in season.

Cold Gold, Janine van Zyl

All products are prepared from using only fresh, organic, seasonal and local ingredients sourced from farms and small producers in the Winelands.

The company insists on making desserts without any artificial flavouring or colouring, no stabilizers, preservatives or chemicals.

Cold Gold offers several alternatives and can use homemade soya, nut, rice, oat, quinoa, goat, seed or practically any milk (with or without eggs; with or without sugar); your dream dessert in any flavour...

Visit the Cold Gold website for more information.
