Fabulous life: 5th annual Big Bottle Festival

On this week's Fabulous life we focus on one of the most famous drinks of them all, Champagne. It is taking centre stage because this weekend marks the 5th annual Big Bottle Festival which is hosted in Cape Town.

Taking place at the Cape Town Club on 21 -22 August, the event is all about celebrating the opulence and luxury of champagne and its local equivalents.

CapeTalk presenter, Pippa Hudson speaks to Paul Gerber from Le Lude Estate in Franschoek who explores the different aspects and subtleties in the making of champagne. Gerber is one of the most knowledgeable people in South Africa when it comes to bubbly.

Festival info: Times - Friday and Saturday 3pm to 8pm

Venue - Cape Town Club

Tickets to the Big Bottle Festival Walkabout on Saturday, 22 August 2015 can be bought online from www.quicket.co.za at R450 which includes wine, food, music, tasting glass and a fun-filled time.
