Why hosting the Grand Prix in Cape Town is unlikely

In an EWN Sport exclusive this morning, the head of Formula One Bernie Eccleston spoke to Jean Smyth, basically pouring cold water over plans to host the Formula One Grand Prix in Cape Town.

EWN's Jean Smyth later spoke to Stephen Grootes reflecting on this interview with Eccleston. Jean says that it definitely isn't an issue of appetite for the motoring sport, but rather a money issue, as well as getting right documentation. He highlights that there is an avoidance of government (read: taxpayer money) subsidy for this type of event.
