As many as 50 refugees were found dead in a parked lorry in eastern Austria near the Hungarian border yesterday.
According EWN, the abandoned refrigerated lorry was found by an Austrian motorway patrol near the Hungarian border, with fluids from the decomposing bodies seeping from its back door.
This has prompted a wave of debate across Europe over migration, with each government deferring responsibility for each passing crisis.
Itayi Virri, Spokesperson of the International Organization for Migration in Geneva, Switzerland, spoke to John about how the refugee crisis is being handled and the extent of the crisis.
Virri says as many as there have been as many as 250 000 refugees fleeing war-torn countries, mostly in North Africa, and crossing the Mediterranean sea into Europe. He says that in the absence of a proper migration strategy, more migrant deaths will continue.
