#Uberforgood and make a difference

Forgood and Uber South Africa have established a partnership that will continue to help more people do more good.

On Tuesday8th September, Capetonians can arrange for an Uber driver to swing by, pick up your donations and deliver them directly to Forgood depots in Cape Town who will distribute the items to relevant causes, all for free.

Forgood is an online social platform that connects passionate people with needy organisations. So far it has got involved with 401 different causes, made 80 donations and put 434 volunteers to worthwhile work.

CapeTalk’s Kieno Kammies spoke to Andy Hadfield, CEO Forgood about UberForgood initiative:

Forgood allows South Africans become more social citizens, to become more involved in our country.

All you have to do on Tuesday the 8th is:

  • Open your Uber app between 10:00 – 16:00.

  • Select the ‘FORGOOD’ vehicle view at the bottom of the screen.

  • UberXLs in Cape Town will arrive to pick up your items and drop-off your donation to the Forgood depots free of charge.
