Flabba murder-accused 'tried to save him'

The trial of slain rapper and Skwatta Kamp group member, Nkululeko 'Flabba' Habedi, is currently underway at the Randburg High Court.

EWN's Masego Rahlaga spoke to 702's Stephen Grootes about the proceedings of the trial, starting with Flabba’s cousin, Thapelo Sello's testimony today.

Sello testified that he was woken up (from inside the house) by his brother, who told him that Flabba had been stabbed. He stated that on arrival, the accused, Sindisiwe Manqele, was crying and yelling to Flabba: “I’m sorry I didn’t mean it, please wake up.”

Sello added that they tried to stop the bleeding as Manqele was busy performing CPR, while his brother called the police and emergency services. He mentioned that the accused then tried to kill herself by slitting her wrist.

Three of Flabba’s cousins have already testified as witnesses. Manqele has reportedly had her face covered with a scarf throughout the trial.
