Blue Train partners with Sun International to offer passengers luxury travels

Transnet announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Sun International as the marketing partner for its legendary and luxurious Blue Train.

The partnership will see possible upgrades and the attainment of new trains; explore possibility of new routes and an increase in reach and footprint.

CapeTalk’s John Maytham spoke to Michael Farr, Group General Manager for Corporate Brand and Communications:

According to Farr, Sun International was chosen amongst the five companies that submitted proposals to Transnet.

What we committed to at this stage is developing a marketing and sales strategy for the Blue Train, repositioning Blue Train as one of the top trains to offer luxury travel in South Africa.
