According to reports this morning, the new leader of the ANC Youth League, Collen Maine wants to campaign for President Jacob Zuma to lead the ANC for a third term.
Stephen Grootes spoke to Ranjeni Munusamy, a political commentator and associate editor of The Daily Maverick, about this claim.
Listen to the report below:
Munusamy said the ANCYL will always lobby points to float debates or ideas, mainly as "a way to judge which way the wind is blowing".
She pointed out that among the risks of President Zuma running for a third term, is more fractional breaks within the ANC.
