The "Malapa" Hominid Fossil Site Cover (viewing deck cover), at the Cradle of Humankind has been shortlisted for the International Structural Awards 2015, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of structural engineers around the world.

Architect and MD of Krynauw Nel Associates, Krynauw Nel was the principal designer of this piece of art. 702's John Robbie spoke to him about this structure and 702 presenter Jenny Crwys-Williams weighed on why it's worth visiting this site.
