Fifa suspended its Secretary-General Jerome Valcke this week.
It’s the latest development in the Fifa corruption scandal.
Valcke had previously announced that he will leave Fifa next February when President Sepp Blatter leaves the organisation.
According to reports, Valcke was suspended by the world football governing body pending an investigation into allegations he was implicated in a World Cup tickets scheme.
Valcke has denied any wrongdoing.
However, he allegedly tried to secure a pay-off of several million dollars from Fifa last week.
Valcke was a key organiser of three Fifa World Cups.
