The ANC needs a complete overhaul of its leadership Winnie Madikizela-Mandela told journalists standing on the sidelines during her meeting with visiting soccer stars in Soweto on Thursday.
Ralph Mathekga, Political and Policy Analyst says it seems ANC struggle stalwarts are concerned that they've played a role building a foundation that now seems to be vandalised by the current leadership of the party.

Mathekga says the problem is that these stalwarts don't have political power and they can only try and use powers of persuasion.
What they've been doing is try to speak outside the party and also trying to spread the message hoping that members of the ANC in different branches will heed what they are saying when the ANC elects the new leader— Ralph Mathekga, Political and Policy Analyst
