The City of Cape Town is advising all motorists to check the renewal dates of their licence discs as some vehicle owners have not receive notices to renew their annual vehicle licences.

This is due to the National Department of Transport (NDOT) is in the process of transferring the Electronic National Traffic Information System (eNatis) to the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC).

Notices will not be sent through the South African Post office (SAPO) as usual.

Talking to CapeTalk’s John Maytham, Western Cape Transport spokesperson, Siphesihle Dube says in the Western Cape alone there about 150 000 motorists that are up for renewal as of 30th of September.
