Oscar Pistorius' lawyer, Brian Webber, said he had learnt unofficially that the decision to release the athlete under correctional supervision had been set aside referred back to the parole board.
However, there was no immediate confirmation from the correctional services department. Justice Minister Michael Masutha is believed to think the decision to release Pistorius was taken prematurely.
