Cosatu march underway

The first nationwide cross-sector Congress of SA Trade Unions (Cosatu) strike takes place today.

Stephen Grootes spoke to Govan Whittles, reporting from the march this afternoon. Whittles told Stephen Grootes that Cosatu's march was set to, not only put forward the issues of decent jobs and etolls, but also reiterate that Cosatu is still relevant for workers in South Africa.

702's John Robbie spoke to Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini about the strike, which is set to be largely for decent jobs and scrapping of Gauteng e-tolls.

John Robbie also spoke to a caller, who was going on the strike and expressed support for Cosatu's efforts.
