Reverend Frank Chikane, a former director general in the Presidency and an ANC National Executive Committee member, has reportedly urged the ANC to own up to its problems.
Chikane, reports the City Press, said the party had reached a point of no return, and faced the real possibility of losing elections unless it owned up to its problems.
He said the ANC's support had dwindled and this could make it fail to get 50 percent at the polls, a trend which he said was troubling.
702's Xolani Gwala yesterday spoke to Chikane about the statements attributed to him.
