Wits protest: Prof Habib address met with anger and frustration

Wits University principal Professor Adam Habib was set to address students today amid a two-day student protest over the increase in tuition fees.

Lectures in most campuses except the medical school have been cancelled, as students demanded that Habib address them.

Professor Habib leaves Higher Education summit to address students

Acting Vice-Chancellor Andrew Crouch told 702's John Robbie that Habib would address students after he took time off from the Higher Education Transformation Summit, which is reviewing, among others, representation of teaching staff, curriculum, housing and institutional funding.
