What we can expect from the midterm budget

Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene will this afternoon present his second mid-term budget speech amid an economy experiencing negative growth.

We could see a tax increase

Head of Tax and Asia Practice at Hogan Lovells, Ernie Lai King spoke to John Robbie about what Minister Nene is likely to announce during his Mid-Term Budget speech.

King said that we might see a tax increase in one form or another. He adds that, with our skills and infrastructure, he doesn't see why we shouldn't be growing at 4%.
