Business Accelerator 2015 finalist Greg Gallagher of Snuza saw a business opportunity in monitoring new-born babies and ran with it.

Snuza products offer parents peace of mind and instant knowledge of life-threatening problems that might affect the baby.

Snuza's products include:

  • Digital baby monitors

  • Video baby monitors

  • Baby movement monitors

  • Audio baby monitors and baby monitor accessories

Their target market is parents with babies and therapists.

This is a co-created business. It shows that Greg and his team are on the same page

Snuza has so far sold over 500 000 units.

Gallagher says they are exporting about 80% of their products to the USA, UK and Australia. He says that the South African market was a bit of a problem when they started.

Business growth specialist Pavlo Phitidis advised Ghallegher to venture into baby wearable technology in order to grow its market share in South Africa.
