The work done by Southern Waters Ecological Research and Consulting is important because it directly affects people’s lives.
This is according to specialist Dr Catherine Brown, who says water is the key to life and one of the most important resources in the world.
Southern Waters has operated for 20 years and deals with everything that affects the flow of water, and provides specialised skills in aquatic systems.

The company markets their services and insights through a digital tool called DRIFT, which predicts how water-resource plans impact water ecosystems and linked social and economic structures.
Business growth specialist Pavlo Phitidis says the team at Southern Waters has collaboratively taken their brain power and skills to create an in-depth understanding of water flows.
In order for them to take their business forward, Phitidis advises that they must improve the DRIFT software in order for it to become the tool of choice for all water-resource planning worldwide.
He said that the company needs to consider ways of designing long-term projects and periodic census that bring in annuity revenues.
