Ten young South African girls and boys underprivileged backgrounds have been chosen out of more than 200 candidates to participate in the Clipper Race around the World.
This was all made possible by the Sapinda Rainbow Foundation which was launched in July 2014.
Founder and CEO of the Sapinda Rainbow Foundation, Dirk van Daele said that he has taken part in the race himself and saw how it could give valuable life skills and promote leadership among participants.

The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is the longest around the planet at more than 40,000 miles and is regarded as one of the toughest endurance challenges.
Designed for the benefit of the young participants involved, the Foundation’s success is the catalyst effect created by the youngsters within their own communities.
