Redi Tlhabi jams out to Eminem with listeners to test new study findings

A study in the UK has found that listening to music by US hip hop artist Eminem can increase your power and endurance while exercising for prolonged periods of time.

Researchers at the Hartpury College conducted music experiments on British swimmer Ben Hooper, as he prepares to swim across the Atlantic Ocean.

CapeTalk and 702 presenter Redi Tlhabi decided to put the study to the test on-air and asked listeners to share their experiences of different musical genres.

Listen to the full conversation from The Redi Tlhabi Show:

As it turns out, Eminem's music seems to be a hit with the listeners, including Heather, a 65-year-old grandmother, who confessed to being a die hard fan of Marshall Bruce Mathers.

But 'slim shady's music isn't for everyone, other listeners prefer house music, like Lenos in Lyndhurst, Johannesburg.

They found that the songs such as this one below, contribute positively to exercise.

Researchers also claim that songs by Bob Marley and Aerosmith, are likely to cause fatigue.
